This is a video taken around a campfire at my birthday party back in March. Boris did the camera work, while Shadowlight played fiddle and sang backing vocals, as Saki played guitar. The performance of this song is far from perfect, but I decided to share it as I think people will appreciate the campfire vibe.
The song's message "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" is to encourage people to let go and let God. You hold on as much as you can, but sometimes you must also let go, as the end of the song says.
I know some people get annoyed by the statement "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" because sometimes things are not "alright". This me be true, but in the grand scheme I think everything is alright, even though it's really difficult to see this sometimes. In the end, God is the only one who is in control and that makes everything alright. If a person does not believe in God, then hopefully they can see that the wisdom of all that is is "alright". If neither of these explanations resonates, then please excuse the song.

Why Am I Called Fast Heart Mart?
Ever wondered why I go by the name Fast Heart Mart?
In 1995 my friend Bryan, my dog Molly and I hiked a section of the Appalachian Trail. Brian and I were in heavy places that had us examining our mortality. I’m not at liberty to divulge Bryan’s reasons, but I had been recently diagnosed with a potentially fatal heart condition that runs in my family called Long QT syndrome. This heart condition would severely influence the course of my life. It was on the Appalachian Trail that Bryan gave me the trail name Fast Heart Mart late one night around a campfire when we were told by fellow hikers that if we didn’t have trail names, hard core backpackers may think we were narcs.
When I started performing professionally in 1999, Fast Heart Mart became my stage name because, without the heart condition, I probably would have gone into the military; the heart condition has been quite a guide. Thank You for being my fellow soul searcher, coining my nick name and recently sending me this photo Bryan
For anyone struggling with heavy issues right now, please know that sometimes tough circumstances can lead us to a better place. I would not wish this heart condition I have on anyone, as it’s been a horrible nightmare at times that had me suffering debilitating panic attacks, but I would be a totally different person if I didn’t have it. I believe God prunes us in different ways to prepare us for producing beautiful flowers when the season arrives
