For a few months now I have been working on a cover of "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. If I had to pick one favorite song writer of all time, I'd pick Leonard Cohen. His songs are serious and humorous all rolled into one deep thought. I love art that is multifaceted. I especially love art that is serious on the surface with a humorous undertone. 

"Hallelujah" is a Leonard Cohen song that really caught on to the mainstream after it was in the Shrek soundtrack. Though it's not my favorite Cohen song, I knew I had to get it into my upbeat farmers' market repertoire. So I did. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm Not AntiVaxx, I'm ProChoice

Why or why do I feel so compelled to keep speaking out on this subject? I’m speaking out on what I believe because there are people out there who need to know that they are not alone on how they feel about everything that is going on. There are a lot of people out there who are taking the injection because they have been pressured into it and that is sad. I speak out because it is acceptable for others to say they got the vackseen, I have the right to say I'm seeking other solutions. 

Furthermore, I believe if I don’t start speaking out now, soon we will be living in a 1984 Orwellian reality, where I will have to ask permission to the powers that be, which song I am allowed to play. Speaking out about my medical choice is the most peaceful way to resolve this conflict. The faster everyone can accept the fact that billions of people around the world refuse this vackseen and that there are other solutions to C!9, the faster we will all get back on track; the sooner I won’t feel compelled to speak out about my medical choices. 

Wooops! I think I just heard the sound of at least 10 people unsubscribing to this email list. Well, that's the way it goes. I respect people's choice to get the vackseen, please respect my choice to seek alternate solutions.

Hello Again! I've Got A New Plan & Video

 Hello there Fast Heart Mart supporters! I hope this message finds you well! If not, blame all the Zombies getting ready for Halloween as they are particularly pesky this year. 

 It's been a while since you've heard from me (end of June, so 3 months), but I really appreciate everyone who is still here. Welcome to all the new people on this email list. 

I think I lost a bunch of "patrons" this year because I've been speaking out about my opinions on this "pandemic" and stuff https://fastheartmart.com/diy-pandemic-eradication . That's fine. That's how these things go. I especially want to thank all my friends who disagree with me, but choose to stay friends with me and tolerate my views; you are a special breed of human being. I feel like I tolerate difference of opinions/beliefs well, but not everyone does, I guess? I usually choose friendship over difference of belief/opinion. 

I believe that speaking my truth is the most peaceful way to deal with what's going on in the world. I'd like to talk things out before things get worse. It's just like any relationship, if you don't talk about your problems then they are bound to explode at the worst possible time. Furthermore, I thought it was artists' duty to speak their minds, wether people agree with them or not? Artists don't blend in with culture, artists shape culture?

So much fun that I don't think I'll be doing anymore tours longer than 3 weeks anymore. One Music Video a Month From Now On

I have decided on a new game plan. As many of you know, I started a podcast at the beginning of the pandemic, but it was too much work for me to sustain, along with my music career etc.. So now I've decided to just put out one music video a month. I used to do this years ago, but I stopped when I thought it wasn't really getting any attention. So that's what I'm doing, 7 years later. 

The podcast was fun while it lasted, but I need to just focus on my music and my songwriting. I am doing pretty good playing the farmers markets and street corners and restaurants right now, but I know I need to get my music out to the world in a bigger way. I think the music videos are the way to do it.

So by being a monthly donator, like many of you are, you are helping to fund my music video which is helping my music get to a bigger world wide audience. Thank you for that! The more patrons I get, the more budget I will have to pay the musicians and other artists involved in the videos. If I can get 200 "patrons" to donate at least $5/month, then I would have plenty of money to produce these monthly videos.

The Good News Blues

 Hello there Fast Heart Mart supporters! I hope this message finds you well! If not, blame all the crazy news reports that seem to be trying to keep us all in a state of confusion. Today I have some good news for you! 

I call it The Good News Blues because I am reluctant to come across like I am bragging. Trust me, I have plenty of not so good news I could report too, but this month in this newsletter I will report on only the good stuff. It is important in these trying times to focus on the positive. Like my song Invincible sings "A hundred things are wrong, but a trillion things are right. I choose to live, on the bright side".

 In other good news, my newest album has been nominated for "Best Local Recording" by the San Diego Music Awards. This years online voting runs thru June 30, 2021 at 5pm. Ground Hog Day Again

 Hello there Fast Heart Mart supporters! The results from last month's poll are in and most people voted that they would like to get an email from me once a month and so here I am, sending you your monthly email.

I hope this message finds you well! If not, blame the ground hog who saw his own shadow and now there will be 6 more weeks of winter here in the northern hemisphere. If you're not from the USA and have no idea what I'm talking about, then go here to read about GroundHog Day

Speaking of Ground Hog Day, there is a movie called "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray. In this movie, Bill Murray's character has to live the same day over and over again until he learns certain lessons about life. Some would say that the times we are living in with all this "pandemic" stuff is a lesson that that we must learn in order to move forward as a human race. This concept resonates with me. I think the world is learning a big lesson right now. I am optimistic that we will eventually come out of the other side of this stronger and all living in a better world.

I think one of the lessons we are meant to learn from this pandemic is how to cordially disagree with one another.
